My Friend Lee

This is a 6" x 6" painting in acrylic of ..yes..my Sammy painted by our friend Lee Taylor. Her husband Russ, Lee and I traveled sometimes to do outdoor shows and now that we do Ebay we just travel back and forth to each other's homes for chats and dinner.

The Swimmer

30" x 24" on stretched canvas

So..when you get 100 tennis balls what do you do??? You go swimming with them. I took out three, one for each Lab. Sammy usually knows where his is. Out in the yard. Fergus's ball then becomes Sammy's til it also joins the other, in the yard. And yes of course Sammy takes Sophies'. Each afternoon we say, "Sam go find your ball" and he brings one in and we play.

I had fun with clo in this piece. Purples and greens, slashes of white. Enjoy!!

Yellow

I have friend who has a yellow Lab. It's actually Sammy's agility friend Blondie. Blondies Mom is also a hairdresser and I asked her "how do you keep Blonie's hair so beautiful and white??" She uses shampoo for white hair and it makes it glow. That's an FYI. LOL

Dog Park Series #2

Wow, after a whole week of feeling crummy I finally got back to work today. It's wonderful!!! Blue, our only cat now, hides out in my studio. Sammy is a hunter and if Blue moves quickly Sam is chasing right behind. There's constant "leave it!" and I think he may be getting the connection. However, as much as love the idea of a studio cat, now I have to watch for cat paws in the palette which will result in cat paws on canvases.

This is Sammy, front and center. He always has the tennis ball. I can only imagine what the others were saying to each other. They are older. The boxer flying in is just a year old and about to give Sam a run for his money.

Florida Flu

Just to let you know I'll be back in stride with new work tommorrow. Down with the flu this week so I layed on the couch with the three Labs and read a book when I was actually awake.
