Puppies, Puppies, Puppies

Oh Lab Puppy breath!!!!! Nothing like it! I call this piece "Sharing The Last Crumb" It should be called.."No I saw it first....No It's mine because my tongue is touching it." Living with three "adult" Labs that's more the case.
This was a fun little piece to paint. There are so many other colors in the white/yellow Labs fur. The reflection of light from around them bounce off their fur and so a delight to paint.
This oil painting is 6" x 6" on stretched canvas and I'm offering it for $150.00 Just a delightful piece as a gift, for a childs bedroom.or just for your own collection. For my previous collectors and mailing list subscribers there will be a 20% discount. Email me at sophie@palm-spirit.com and I will send you a seperate invoice. Not a bad deal!!
I'm starting to make a commissions list for 2010. If you are interested please contact me and we can chat about what you'd like.
Thanks for your continuous support!! Warmly, Sheila

The Book Is Underway

Last night I sat with my notepad and wrote. It will be the book accompanying the 10 40 x 40 paintings I do this year for my 2010 project. It won't be just a "well I stretched a canvas today" book but the story of an artist , who happens to share space with three Labs, the journey, the road blocks, the frustrations that life gives us and the ones we impose on ourselves and yes the total Joy!!! hmmm, I bet if I added sex it would even be better!!! Ok you Lab people, you know when you go to even hug or kiss your partner there's a long nose that suddenly is there with you. Tail wagging and the look of "oh come on you guys I want to play too." We also have the youngest who loves to lay between us on his back with his head on the pillow. However, if we somehow get the bed to ourselves, we have Sophie on the floor beside us snoring to beat the band and we get so silly..well you know.
If you'd like to be part of the Project and become a Patron please read the side blurb. Every dollar goes to the project and is accounted for. You won't see me sporting Monolo's any time soon.
Thanks for your support . Tell your friends about my Lab art, please, and well chat again soon. Off to paint!
Warmly, Sheila

Patriot Service Dogs,Inc

I was honored yesterday when a volunteer for Patriot Service Dogs, Inc emailed me after seeing my web site and asked if I would do a painting for them for their site. I was truly honored. They train and give dogs to give to mobility impaired or loss of limb vets. I couldn't think of a more important painting at this time. As the painting progresses I will update this site so you can see.
You can go to thier site at www.PatriotServiceDogs.org
