Our chocolate Lab Fergus recently became ill . He's been back and forth to deaths door and I sit with him even as he sleeps.
In September Roger and I are taking a workshop with Elizabeth St Hilaire Nelson who totally rocks doing this torn paper collage technique.  To make it fun and mine, I glu
ed watercolor paper painted tennis balls.    It's on an 8" square raised art board. The sides are painted so you can hang it right away. Every piece of paper is hand torn by me as I create my Labs. This is #1 in my new series.  $125.00 plus Shipping

EQUINE ART BY SHEILA WEDEGIS ACRYLIC ON MASONITE

                                                     "OH IT'S YOU AGAIN"

Golden Open Acrylis on gessoed Masonite. 12" x 9"   While we were in Scotland we would drive by these gorgeous animals daily. It got to be they would just come to the fence to say hello as we stopped.

I have always loved horses. When I was very young, Boston had farmland and we lived next door to a farm with a huge horse.  (huge to me)  I remember holding up an apple to him as his enormous head started to come down. My mother grabbed me quickly thinking the horse was ready to eat me. LOL

If you are interested in this beauty you may find him on Sheila Wedegis Fine Art America
You will be able to purchase cards and prints on canvas and paper. For the original please contact ME

LABRADOR RETRIEVER WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS SHEILA WEDEGIS Scotland Labraventure

During our recent trip to the Scottish Highlands we visited Castle Mey, in Mey.  The Castle was the summer home of the Queen Mum and now Charles visits during The summer months for a couple of weeks.  After a fantastic tour we had the choice of going through the gardens or going to the animal area. Guess what I chose.!!
This is a watercolor of that back pasture with one of the Royal Angus Coos.  Magnificent animals.  I have it matted right now in a grey 16 x 20 mat and will be redoing it in the exact matting to make a better fit.
 Ready to frame. !!!
