LABRADOR RETRIEVER CONTINUING SKETCH SHEILA WEDEGIS 2012
Today I continued on Ozzie's face. I worked on the eye, right side looking directly at the piece, and found it was too small. Thankfully I was using a 2H pencil. Harder graphite and goes on very very light. If you measure the dogs eye using your pencil and thumb, it should then be 3 "eyes" across to the corner of the next eye. That's where you would start the beginning of the eye drawing. My first drawing was 5 "eyes" It would have thrown the whole composition off.
Tomorrow I hope to finish, or be close to finishing the drawing. I'm glad you like seeing this process.
Warmly, Sheila
