This is oil on gessoed Masonite and up on an auction for you to bid on. BID HERE

Well, I'm continuing my daily painting but will probably keep it on this blog. How many blogs can one woman have?  I also joined Daily Paintworks  where I am showing my work and also having art for auction.  I will be posting them here so you will be aware.  This piece called "Learning Diving" (The safe way)  is a 6" square oil on gessoed masonite.

LABRADOR RETRIEVER CONTINUING SKETCH SHEILA WEDEGIS 2012

Today I continued on Ozzie's face. I worked on the eye, right side looking directly at the piece, and found it was too small. Thankfully I was using a 2H pencil. Harder graphite and goes on very very light. If you measure the dogs eye using your pencil and thumb, it should then be 3 "eyes" across to the corner of the next eye. That's where you would start the beginning of the eye drawing.  My first drawing was 5 "eyes"  It would have thrown the whole composition off.

Tomorrow I hope to finish, or be close to finishing the drawing. I'm glad you like seeing this process.

Warmly, Sheila
